Focusing on energy efficiency, this book explores the solar-powered Cascaded Multilevel Inverter (CHMLI) and various Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques. It compares conventional methods like Perturb and Observe with AI-based algorithms such as Artificial Neural Networks and Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System. The Selective Harmonic Elimination technique is employed to minimize harmonic distortion, ensuring compliance with IEEE standards. The findings are backed by experimental validation using a Xilinx Spartan®-3A DSP FPGA controller, alongside a statistical analysis of THD values across different techniques.
