The theory of Laplace transformation is crucial for engineers, physicists, and mathematicians, offering effective techniques for solving various scientific and engineering problems, particularly differential equations. Similarly, the z-transformation addresses difference equations, with both theories sharing many parallels. While Laplace and z transformations are often referred to as operational calculus, this book does not utilize Mikusinski's operational calculus, which is based on abstract algebra and less accessible to practitioners. Instead, it leverages the symbolic computation capabilities of Mathematica. The author developed the Mathematica Package LaplaceAndzTransforms a decade ago, which not only computes Laplace and z-transforms but also includes numerous routines for diverse applications. Upon loading the Package, around one hundred and fifty new commands enhance Mathematica's built-in functions, while ensuring that existing functions remain available. This Package significantly improves the capabilities for Laplace and z-transformations within Mathematica. The book is primarily aimed at readers engaged in practical applications, providing them with valuable tools and insights for their work.
