For over twenty years, Gisela Krohn (*1966) has made landscapes the focus of her paintings. In Krohn's large-scale works, humans appear only in the form of the mark they have left on nature. She depicts asphalt roads and man-made pathways cutting through forests, attesting to human intervention into nature.
