Abstract: Scientific method tempered with a human relations viewpoint is the basis of a management approach that seeks to increase managers' competence through utilizing the skills and knowledge of subordinates. The method is based on six principles which include managerial philosophy, interpersonal competence, group dynamics and employee involvement in decision-making. Suggestions for practical applications are given. Development of employee commitment and involvement is emphasized to increase their satisfaction and productivity. (cj).
