Maggiori informazioni sul libro

The Dutch photographer Desiree Dolron (1963) is one of the most successful artists of her generation. This first retrospective book on her art contains her four most important photo series in the period 1990-2005: the weighty series of portraits Gaze, the report Exaltation on religious gatherings, among other places in India and Pakistan, the mysterious narrative of Xteriors and lastly Te di todos mis suenos, Dolron’s both alluring and disconcerting impressions of contemporary Cuba. The series are prefaced by an essay by Charlotte Cotton (Head of Programming of The Photographers’ Gallery in London) and also includes an interview with the artist herself conducted by Wim van Sinderen (Senior Curator of The Hague Museum of Photography). A detailed biography and bibliography complete the book
