This dual-site ethnography examines the Carnival celebration as it transitions from Trinidad to North America, where Trinidadian-Americans maintain this cultural tradition. Using a transnationalism lens, the author explores how immigrant Trinis in Brooklyn preserve and adapt Carnival.
