Maggiori informazioni sul libro

The forthcoming exhibition symbolically "returns to the scene of the crime," revisiting the Stone Bell House and the first Biennial of Young Artists (1994), marking a decade of interaction between the GHMP and 1990s artists. This project is closely tied to the GHMP as an institution, aiming not for completeness but to highlight a selection of significant works. The title, inspired by Jiří Černický’s 1995 installation and photograph, reflects the focus on pieces from the Prague City Gallery's collections. Visitors can expect to see both iconic works and lesser-known projects that shed light on the artistic tendencies of the era. The exhibition will explore key themes that captivated artists at the time, including women’s issues and self-stylization (Milena Dopitová), media reality reflections (Stepanka Simlová), performance art (Jiří Černický, Kristof Kintera, Kamera Skura), the human body (Veronika Bromová, Pavel Humhal, Markéta Othová, Michaela Thelenová), science fiction (Federico Díaz, Petr Svařovský), and the interplay of real and virtual nature and urban landscapes (Lukáš Jasanský – Martin Polák), as well as artefactual space (Jiří Přihoda). Exhibition: Prague City Gallery, Prague, Czech Republic (14.04.-28.08.2022)
