Maggiori informazioni sul libro

The landscape architect Dieter Kienast, born in 1945, is one of the most important figures in contemporary landscape architecture. His international significance remains undisputed even after his early death in 1998. Dieter Kienast critically questions the traditional concept of nature. In the landscapes he designed, profound engagements with the current relationship between humans and nature are expressed. While the first volume presented Kienast's private gardens, this one addresses the far more complex public spaces, where diverse human needs and demands must be integrated. The works documented here from Germany and Switzerland include projects for residential developments, commercial buildings, museums, hospitals, etc. These include the facilities for Swisscom in Worblaufen, the Swiss Reinsurance in Zurich, the Federal Labor Court in Erfurt, and the psychiatric clinic Waldhaus in Chur.
