Philosophy of Religion is a combined anthology and guide intended for use as a textbook on courses on philosophy of religion. The book is comprised of six sections, each of opens with an introductory essay followed by a selection of influential writings by philosophers of religion. The section cover: religious epistemology, which deals with the rationality and warrant of theistic belief; existence of God, presents the cosmosolgiacl, teleological, axiological, noologiacl, ontological arguments for the existence of God; coherence of theism, which covers the divine attributes of neccesity, eternity, omnipotence, omniscience, and goodness; problem of evil, treats both the internal and external challange posed to evil by theistic belief; soul and immortality, explores the substantiality and immateriality of the soul and its implications for life after death of the body; and Christian theology, which handles problems posed by the Trinity, incarnation, atonement, damnation, and prayer.
