Maggiori informazioni sul libro
NLDB 2005, the 10th International Conference on Applications of Natural Language to Information Systems, took place from June 15–17, 2005, at the University of Alicante, Spain. Since its inception in 1995, the conference has aimed to provide a platform for discussing and disseminating research on integrating natural language resources into information system engineering. The convergence of computing, telecommunications, and information systems has transformed how we work, communicate, shop, and learn, leading to a revolution in information handling. This evolution results in large volumes of information being stored in formats more natural for users, moving away from traditional data presentations. Natural language processing (NLP) plays a vital role in addressing these challenges, with language technologies being essential for the success of information systems. NLDB 2005 aimed to contribute to this objective and enhance the conference's international reputation, thanks to its Program Committee of esteemed researchers in NLP and information system engineering. Papers underwent a thorough review process by three committee members, resulting in a significant submission count of 95 papers, with 29 accepted as regular papers and 18 as short papers.
