Maggiori informazioni sul libro
The first products with Moomin figures at Arabia, a set of children's dishes and a series of miniature figures, came out at the end of 1950's. Still, the actual "Moomin boom" started by the second launch of the Moomin products in 1990. The book Moomins at Arabia - Stories in Ceramics 1957-2005, presents how Moomin figures were created and how the characters found their way into ceramics. In addition, the curator of Arabia Museum, Hannele Nyman, describes the general history of children's dishes at Arabia. The designer of the present Moomin products, Tove Slotte-Elevant, tells about her own relation to the Moomins. Moomin products have become very popular collectors items both in Finland and internationally. For the Moomin collectors the book includes a comprehensive list with pictures of Moomin products Arabia has produced. There are more than 170 pictures all together.
