Their distribution is covered in some detail with 8 pages of full page maps which shows which states of the USA and Mexico each taxon is found in. Cultivation and classification are covered before going on to consider each taxon, which are based on the New Cactus Lexicon with some more recent additions which the author thinks have merit. Concise descriptions (as the author believes there has been a lot of detail published elsewhere) are given for each along with comments, with colour photos, many in quite large format.
