Important or seeming side issue - PETRA SELA sees, hears, and considers, converts events to experiences. And transforms them into haiku. Or should I rather say: They turn to her into haiku ... With all senses she captures the green world. She looks and listens, she gropes with the feet through twisted roots. She sniffs the breath of wild garlic as well as the scent of fresh cut wood. She knows that we don't handle the tree as carefully as we should. Up to the shelves of the supermarket she pursues the enslavement of the oil palm. Yes, these haiku are proofs of love, but not idylls.
