Název sbírky Pentimenti si Jitka Fialová vypůjčila z výtvarného umění. Znamená změnu záměru, posun původní představy. Pojítko s básní se přímo nabízí. A obraz je slovo, slovo obrazem, laskavému a trpělivému vnímateli se krajina slov ráda pozotvírá. Roman Szpuk v doslovu mimo jiné říká: Sbírka se vyvíjí od volného verše k verši vázanému, rytmickému, s rafinovanými asonancemi. Motivy se překrývají, symbol následuje přímé pojmenování, vážné tvrzení ulehčené pousmání…„poťouchlý datel na konci mlhy ťuká mi na šíji slunečný den…“ V kontrastu básní autorka nabízí jednotlivá haiku.
