Da quando li avevamo incontrati per la prima volta in Trainspotting, Ranton, Sick Boy, Begbie e Spud non sono affatto cambiati. Sempre cinici, frustrati, romantici, sognanti, strafatti, bugiardi e senza scrupoli, ma questa volta alle prese con un progetto «grandioso» da realizzare: rilevare un pub poco lontano dai rioni yuppie di Edimburgo e usarne il magazzino per girarvi un film porno.
