A comprehensive catalogue of the Roman marble ash chests from the collection of Henry Blundell, now in Liverpool in the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside. Fifty four ash chests, forty six separate lids, two cinerary vases, two grave altars, six gravestones andsome fragments, ranging in date from the Julio-Claudian period to the mid/late second century. There are full descriptions, excellent photos and discussions of the origin of each piece.
