Medien und Geschichtsschreibung bilden einen komplexen Zusammenhang. Nicht nur, weil Historiographien sich immer schon in, mit und durch Medien hindurch vollziehen. Sondern auch, weil Medien selbst das haben, was als Geschichte be- und geschrieben wurde. Die gesammelten Beiträge dieses Buchs setzen sich auf der Basis des Denkens Wolfgang Ernsts mit dem zeitkritischen Vollzugscharakter technischer Medien auseinander: Gegen alle narrative Historiographie verlangt die Untersuchung vormals sogenannter Mediengeschichte eine radikale Medienarchäologie, die in Archäographien ihren genuinen Ausdruck findet.

During the last decades, the theoretical understanding of single quantum systems, as well as the experimental ability to isolate, manipulate and control them, has reached unprecedented level. Current efforts are focused on the next step, namely to attack few-particle and in particular many-particle systems. Among the new challenging questions is the characterization of correlations between individual quantum systems, which arise due to interactions between particles or due to quantum statistical properties of indistinguishable particles. Statistical approaches to describe correlations have been established in different branches of mathematics and quantum physics. At the conference „New Perspectives in Quantum Statistics and Correlations“ bridges between these fields of research have been built. This volume gives a collection of articles from invited speakers of this conference, and thereby outlines the different aspects which have been discussed.
