This volume examines and applies classical and contemporary concepts of rhetorical theory and criticism to the context of late capitalism. Each contributor shows how discourse, its subjects, and power relations are irrevocably transformed by neoliberalism. The collection analyzes a range of discourses and phenomena in neoliberalism including: higher education reforms, computational culture, Occupy Wall Street protests, the activism of Warren Buffett, and the 9-11 Truth Movement. Together, these chapters explore the contemporary rhetorical production of homo economicus and the various ways in which neoliberalism has become a way of thinking, orienting, and organizing all aspects of life around economized metrics of individualized and individuated success. After the Vietnamese War, civil relations with foreign elements have increased and, consequently, private international law has gained some importance in Vietnam. However, both the relevant legal provisions and the practice of the courts in Vietnam are insufficient. Trinh Nguyen studies Vietnamese private international law in light of European developments. She focuses in particular on the general issues, contracts and torts. She describes and assesses the currently effective provisions of Vietnamese law and the corresponding judicial practice of the courts. Together with the knowledge of European private international law, with the main emphasis on the Rome I and Rome II Regulation, she makes use of comparative law to propose future developments for Vietnam based on the critical evaluation of the western doctrine.

V knize jsou souhrnně vyloženy hlavní principy fyzikálních a chemických procesů umožňujících extrakci kovů z rudných surovin nebo kovonosných odpadů a rafinaci vyrobených kovů. Tematicky je kniha rozdělena do čtyř částí. V první části se diskutují úpravnické postupy předcházející vlastnímu metalurgickému zpracování primárních a sekundárních surovin. Druhá nejobsáhlejší část zahrnuje teoretický rozbor pyrometalurgických, hydrometalurgických a elektrolytických postupů, které se používají při výrobě a rafinaci kovů z rudných nebo odpadních surovin a jejich praktické využití ve stávajících nebo vyvíjených technologiích. Ve třetí části je uveden přehled technologií výroby vybraných neželezných kovů a metod používaných při recyklaci konkrétních kovonosných odpadů. V poslední části jsou popisovány obecné zákonitosti a postupy recyklace kovonosných odpadů, vznik odpadů a jejich klasifikace. Zvláštní kapitola je věnována recyklaci primárních i sekundárních baterií.

In der westlichen Welt stellt der Suizid die dritthäufigste Todesursache bei Kindern und Jugendlichen dar. Gerade in der heutigen Zeit, in der Kinder und Jugendliche neben den generell bestehenden Gefahren zusätzlichen Belastungsfaktoren durch die neuen Medien ausgesetzt sind, ist ein frühzeitiges Erkennen destruktiver Tendenzen im Sinne einer Intervention und weiteren Präventionsmaßnahmen notwendig. In dieser Übersichtsarbeit werden bisherige Forschungsergebnisse über suizidales Verhalten bei Kindern und Jugendlichen bis einschließlich 15 Jahren zusammengefasst. Unter Einbezug verschiedener Fachliteratur soll dabei ein Überblick über die Epidemiologie, häufige Suizidmethoden und Geschlechtsunterschiede geschaffen werden. Im Schwerpunkt soll auf die allgemeinen Risikofaktoren der Suizidalität und in diesem Zusammenhang vor allem auf die Bedeutung psychosozialer und psychiatrischer Einflussfaktoren eingegangen werden. Es konnten Depression als Hauptrisikofaktor und familiäre Probleme und Einflussfaktoren als weitere wichtige Risikofaktoren der Suizidalität festgestellt werden.
