Around 1,850 public playgrounds (Spielplätze) exist in Berlin. The title of this book refers directly to the impossibility of exploring this reality in its entirety: the numbers are simply too large and the renovations and changing of equipment are far too frequent. The design and distribution of these distinct and beautiful places creates a network of protected environments which foster the harmonious development of the child as a person.
