    Zacharias Ursinus fu un eminente teologo riformato tedesco del XVI secolo.       I tento starý reformační katechismus má své dějiny. Jeho sepsáním pověřil kurfiřt Bedřich III. dva bohoslovce, Zachariáše Ursina (1534-1583) a Kašpara Oleviana (1536-1587). Katechismus se původně jmenoval "Katechismus nebo křesťanské učení"; protože byl původně vydán v Heidelberku, (19. ledna 1563) dostalo se mu jména Heidelberský katechismus, pod nímž je znám v celém světě...
