Jako všichni obyvatelé australského Severního teritoria přelomu 19. a 20. století jsou odkázáni na každoroční příchod monzunových dešťů, které přinášejí úlevu zemi vyčerpané úporným suchem. Mračna se již stahují a rodiny obou mužů se připravují na přesun do pobřežního Darwinu, kde tradičně přečkávají deštivou sezónu.
