Translated from the Italian, this book describes Tarquinia (at one time, Corneto Tarquinia), "one of the most ancient and powerful cities of Etruria and its territory." This book provides an historical account of the town as well as many pictures of artifacts, buildings and art from Tarquinia. Also included is a map of the "Painted Tombs of the Necropolis of Monterozzi."
