Evie is just a regular thirteen-year-old girl; she loves hanging out with her friends, competing in sports, and is just starting to discover her interest in a certain boy in her class. All is normal... or so it seems. After Evie mysteriously falls near-fatally ill, her parents reveal to her a remarkable truth - she is the daughter of a female elf, which makes her the last young female elf in all of America. Her world is understandably shattered, and she must come to terms with what this new revelation means for her relationships, her passions, and her family. She is not alone though - with the help of those special loved ones around her she slowly begins to get used to her newfound identity and builds even stronger bonds than ever with her friends, family, and even her enemies.
