Bol to pekný čas, keď sa rodina nedokázala uložiť na odpočinok bez tejto spoločne strávenej chvíle, ktorá zmierňovala nočné odlúčenie detí od rodičov! Ján Bosco, ktorý prišiel o otca ako dvojročný chlapček, často rozprával o svojom detstve, že jeho mama Margita za letných večerov ukazovala svojim deťom hviezdy a rozprávala im o dobrom Bohu. Keď sa don Bosco stal kňazom, rozhodol sa byť otcom mnohých chlapcov, ktorí nemali otca.
