Radoslav Katičić fu un eminente linguista e storico croato il cui lavoro spaziava dalla linguistica generale agli studi sul linguaggio letterario e alla storia linguistica. Sviluppò approcci linguistici moderni ed esplorò la continuità della tradizione scritta croata dalle sue prime fasi fino ai giorni nostri.
