Der gefeierte Film Waltz with Bashir als Graphic Novel Waltz with Bashir von Ari Folman ist der erste animierte Dokumentarfilm in Spielfilmlänge. Basierend auf realen Interviews und Ereignissen hat Regisseur Folman die Reise in seine Vergangenheit – eine Reise in die Jugendkultur der 80er Jahre und das West Beirut während des ersten Libanonkrieges – auf fantastische und packende Art visualisiert.
