Forschungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Politik - Methoden, Forschung, Note: 2, Universität Salzburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Thema des Proseminars "Qualitative Methoden der Politikwissenschaftlichen Forschung" ist "Interkultureller Dialog", angelehnt an das "Europäische Jahr des Interkulturellen Dialogs 2008". Für dieses Programm, welches von der Europäischen Union initiiert wurde, ist in Bezug auf die Durchführung von diversen Programmen und Veranstaltungen bzw. deren Koordination in Österreich generell das Bundesministerium für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur zuständig. Vorgabe im Proseminar ist es das Thema "Interkultureller Dialog" auf Gemeindeebene "herunterzubrechen" sowie auf einen relevanten und für die qualitative Methodik erforschbaren Bereich einzugrenzen. Im Zuge unserer Recherchen sind wir auf eine Veranstaltung in den Flachgauer Gemeinde Mattsee gestoßen, welche auf der Homepage des Landes Salzburg beschrieben ist. Veranstalter ist u. a. das Salzburger Bildungswerk. In dieser Gemeinde wurden Multikulturelle Feste ("Multi-Kulti-Fest") als Initiative zu einer besseren Integration von BewohnerInnen mit Migrationshintergrund abgehalten, mit dem Ziel, einen "Interkulturellen Dialog" zwischen den unterschiedlichen Kulturen durch die Feststimmung zu erleichtern. Auf der Homepage des Salzburger Bildungsnetzes lautet die Beschreibung dieser interkulturellen, auf Gemeindeebene abgehaltenen Veranstaltungen folgendermaßen: "Gerade beim Feiern werden oft Barrieren abgebaut und so entstand bereits vor mehreren Jahren in den Gemeinden Grödig und Mattsee die Idee, im Rahmen eines Festes mehr über die jeweils andere Kultur zu erfahren. Einheimische und ausländische Vereine, Gruppen bzw. Einzelpersonen planen das Fest gemeinsam, präsentieren ihr Heimatland, bieten landestypische Speisen an und "entführen" die BesucherInnen mit Musik und Tanz in ihr Heimatland. Diese Feste haben bereits mehrmals mit großem Erfolg stattgefunden".
