From the abundance of Post-Modern photographic strategies currently in use this book focuses upon what is surely the most the "constructed" photograph. The term refers to works of photography in which the motif has been staged especially for the picture and in which the respective artist, in addition to his role as a photographer, also plays the part of director, stage and costume designer, make-up artist and from time to time of performer as well.The main section of the book is followed by a selection of works that recapitulates the pre-history of the "arranged and staged" photograph beginning in the late 1960s and recreates the climate in which the photographer-stagecrafters of the 1980s found their point of departure.

By the time of his death from AIDS at the age of 31, Keith Haring (1958-1990) was already a wildly successful and popular artist. Haring's original and instantly recognizable style, full of thick black lines, bold colors, and graffiti-inspired cartoon-like figures, won him the appreciation of both the art world and the general public; his work appeared simultaneously on T-shirts, gallery walls, and public murals. In 1986, Haring founded Pop Shop, a boutique in New York's SoHo selling Haring-designed memorabilia, to benefit charities and help bring his work closer to the public and especially street kids, with whom he never lost contact.

Jak "zničit krtka" - to je nejen námět jednoho z dílů nejslavnějšího českého večerníčku, ale též tíživý problém řady nejen českých zahrádkářů. Tato kniha jim s jeho skutečným řešením příliš nepomůže, ale zato nabízí třicet příležitostí pro zasmání nad úsměvnými, někdy částečně reálnými a někdy až bláznivými návody, jak se sametového škůdce zbavit. Krtka lze zahnat plašičem, vodou nebo za pomoci některých rostlin, ale můžete si zkusit též najmout odstřelovače, dát se na modlení či na woo-doo rituály, případně spustit nekompromisní letákovou kampaň...
