Kniha obsahuje dva romány Tajomný cudzinec a Ťuťmák Wilson. Tajomný cudzinec je výsmechom ľudskej hlúposti, zadubenosti i vedomej zákernosti, poverčivosti a nespravodlivosti. Dej sa odohráva v Rakúsku. Satan v podobe krásneho mládenca – tajomného cudzinca – zahanbuje počestných ľudí a v šikovnej zápletke sa ľudská myseľ očisťuje. Podobne je to i v druhom romániku, no autor tu použil metódy odtlačkov prstov pri pátraní po zločincoch. Doslov napísala Zora Studená.
