In a dream, God told me to go to Ethiopia with my Canadian friend Lionel Batke. Ethiopia is mentioned over sixty times in Scripture. While there, we ministered with the Ethiopian Apostle Samuel Degu Kebede and his wife Ruth. Afterwards I wrote A Man of Ethiopia for them. Kebede was a pioneer in the Pentecostal Movement in Ethiopia. He was imprisoned six times for his faith in Jesus and his belief in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Two times under Haile Selassie and four times under Communism. The book also tells of how the Kebede family became homeless refugees. Sadly, when they reached Canada and it looked like things at last were going well, Kebede’s first wife Hamalemale died. This is a book of tears and joy.
