This is the first of a series of twelve large volumes, one for each month of the Church year, beginning with September. This volume contains 65 full length, unabridged Lives of the Saints for each day of September, including the lives of Cornelius the Centurion, Sts. Sophia, Faith, Hope, and Love, Apostle and Evangelist John, Martyr Mamas, Miracle of the Archangel Michael at Chonae, St. Peter the Publican, Prophet Moses, St. Sergius of Radonezh, and St. Symeon the Stylite. Also included are homilies for the Nativity of the Mother of God and the Exaltation of the Cross. Translated from the original Slavonic text.
