Alphonse Mucha fu un pittore, illustratore e grafico ceco, rinomato per i suoi distintivi manifesti teatrali stilizzati e decorativi. La sua diversificata produzione artistica, che comprendeva illustrazioni, pubblicità e pannelli decorativi, divenne una delle immagini più iconiche del suo tempo. La sua collaborazione con la celebre attrice Sarah Bernhardt, in particolare, arrivò a definire l'estetica dell'Art Nouveau. Alphonse Mucha (1860 1939) was a Czech Art Nouveau painter, printmaker and illustrator working in Paris. Famous for his advertising posters which attracted a large audience in his time. Some of his best works are shown here.
