A door with floral curtains leads to the right front. Next to the door are a small wardrobe, a bathtub, a washstand with two bowls, and a colorful dresser filled with picture books. In the background, a wide window with curtains and flowers is visible. It is evening, and Peterchen and Anneliese are being put to bed by Minna. Peterchen washes at the washstand while Anneliese sits on the bed, braiding her hair for the night. Minna closes the window and urges them to get into bed quickly. She takes the sponge from Peterchen and dries his face. Peterchen complains about his nose, but Minna reassures him.
