Der vorliegende Band vereint drei erstmals ins Deutsche übersetzte Artikel des slowenischen Philosophen Mladen Dolar. Als Mitbegründer der Ljubljana Lacan Schule hat er neben Slavoj Žižek und Alenka Zupančič die zeitgenössische Philosophie der Psychoanalyse wesentlich mitgeprägt. Unter seinen Publikationen ragt besonders das Buch »A Master’s Voice. Eine Theorie der Stimme« aus dem Jahr 2006 heraus. Tatsächlich reicht aber Dolars Expertise weit über die Thematik dieser Monographie hinaus. Das wird deutlich, wenn man die Vielzahl von Artikeln liest, die er seit den 1970er Jahren in nationalen und internationalen Fachzeitschriften publiziert hat und von denen hier nur ein kleiner Auszug vorgestellt wird. In diesen behandelt er subjektphilosophische Fragen der Psychoanalyse im Horizont der Philosophie des deutschen Idealismus und des dialektischen Materialismus in der Nachfolge von Marx und Adorno.
