Maggiori informazioni sul libro

White Water North Alps The first part of ''White Water North Alps gives a general introduction and advice on paddling in the Northern Alps Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and North East Italy, together with tips on travel, possible itineraries, and a chapter of rafting. The main part of the book gives descriptions for the 60 or so "classic river runs" in the North Alps mainly of class 3-4 difficulty. River trips are grouped by centres with supplementary notes covering other possible river trips in the locality besides notes on rafting companies, campsites and things to do off the river. A key feature of the book is the quality of the maps and illustrations - with detailed maps to accompany individual trip description. The author has many years experience of paddling in this region, and for this book spent a whole season re-paddling and researching the runs so that the information is as current and as accurate as possible. Personal anecdotes from many contributors, drawings, cartoons, and photographs all make for a book that is a joy to read!
