"The Robber Bridegroom" tells the hilariously absurd love story of the beautiful Rosamond and the robber Jamie Lockhart. Eudora Welty's novel takes a wildly imaginative turn in the realm of fantasy. Three travelers stay at an inn along the Mississippi and share a bed. The next morning, one of them mistakes his companions for ghosts and leaps out of the window.
