Maggiori informazioni sul libro

In 1909, at the age of fourteen, Krishnamurti was proclaimed as the future World Teacher, a manifestation of Maitreya, the Bodhisattva of compassion. This announcement was made by Annie Besant, then president of the Theosophical Society, who aimed to highlight the fundamental commonalities among world religions. She prepared Krishnamurti for his role as the chosen one. However, twenty years later, Krishnamurti underwent a profound transformation, emerging as an independent teacher recognized for his originality in presenting truth as a genuine spiritual guide. He faced significant physical and emotional challenges before achieving the pinnacle of freedom. Subsequently, he taught worldwide, often drawing large crowds. Statesmen, including Nehru and Indira Gandhi, sought his counsel, and he inspired scientists and artists alike. Krishnamurti passed away in 1986 at nearly 91 years of age.
