Maggiori informazioni sul libro

Author Paul Mathur can be said to have "discovered" Oasis: he first saw them in March 1993, rehearsing in the tiny basement of a Manchester club, and became the first person to champion the band in the music press - six months before they signed a major record deal, and a year before anyone else picked up on them. Since those early days, his enduring close friendship with the band has allowed him unique access to them every step of the way. He has witnessed not only hundreds of their gigs all over the world (and the attendant dressing-room antics), but also the recording of their albums and many of their singles. He even contributed handclaps to their first number one single, "Some Might Say". This biography traces the career of the band, including sections on: the members' childhoods, and the passage from the early gigs to sell-out tours all over the world; behind-the-scenes reportage from the recording sessions; and candid interviews with family and friends. Oasis have topped every chart, won almost every award and provoked comment from every quarter.
