The volume contains a foreword, words of welcome, 2 contributions on Schlögen, its Roman monuments and the UNESCO world heritage site “Danube Limes” as well as 18 papers on “foreign influence, cultural exchange, and procurement of raw materials” continuing the topic of the previous year from protohistory into the Middle Ages. The papers start with an introduction followed by research on the final IA settlement pattern in Southern Bavaria, painted LIA/Early Roman pottery from Salzburg, cultural exchange at Wels, field walking in North-Western Noricum, Roman import in Southern Bohemia, Germanic influence on 2nd/3rd-century Roman weapons, migration and cultural exchange in Early Medieval Bavaria, the “melting pot” of Regensburg and its anthropology, Early Medieval long-distance contacts at Libice, restart or continuity in Raetia secunda as reflected by the cemetery at Altheim-Andreasweg, an Early Medieval reliquary cross from Vitín, long-distance contacts of Central Bohemia, Avar finds in Eastern Bavaria, a stronghold at Katovice, Přemyslid coins, and Medieval mining of precious metals in Southern Bohemia. The book ends with a bibliography and lists of participants and authors.

Kniha přináší komplexní přehled depotů z doby bronzové z území Čech, objevených do konce roku 2013 a předaných do muzejních sbírek. Jedná se o více než stovku nových souborů, které dosud většinou nebyly publikovány a které významně doplňují starší syntézy českých depotů. Všechny tyto nové nálezy jsou v knize podrobně popsány, analyzovány a rovněž kompletně vyobrazeny. Vedle archeologického vyhodnocení jsou v knize zařazeny i kapitoly o chemických analýzách kovových artefaktů z depotů a o archeobotanických analýzách. Publikace vyšla ve dvou svazcích se shodným ISBN.
