The language invention of the famous Spanish surrealist remains modern and innovative. Greguerías is a specific literary form that straddles the boundaries of wisdom, aphorism, humor, wordplay, overheard phrases, linguistic paradoxes, and nonsense—these can all be considered gregerías, though they need not be.
