In this short essay, when examining whether there is 'new' diplomacy, I shall refer to the transition of 'old' and 'new' diplomacy. By showing the development of new diplomacy, I will examine the transformation from 'old to 'new' diplomacy within its historical setting by giving some examples. In this context, I shall also argue that 'new' diplomacy has not wholly replaced old forms of diplomacy.
