Man ist allgemein der Ansicht - und wir teilen diese Meinung -, daB Unterricht in physikalischer Biochemie in bester Form geleistet wird, indem die Studenten selbst Aufgaben losen. Aber haufig sind die ausgewahlten Beispiele vielleicht ausgezeichnet fUr Chemiestudenten geeignet, geben jedoch wenig fUr Biochemiestudenten her, da sie keine rechte Anwendung ftir ihr Gebiet besitzen. Wir haben hier versucht, Aufgaben zu stellen, von den en wir meinen, daB Studenten im erst en (oder zweiten) Studienjahr sie bewaltigen konnen sollten, und die doch einige der heute wichtigen Vorstellungen und Methoden darstellen. Oas Gewicht liegt mehr bei den Grundlagen, weniger bei ausgekltigel ter mathematischer Behandlung (wie sie leider in vielen physikalisch chemischen Lehrbtichern getibt wird). Aus dieser Sicht haben wir un seren Text besonders als Anleitung fUr die Aufgaben am Ende jeden Kapitels geschrieben. Auch die durchgeftihrten Aufgabenbeispiele bil den einen integralen und wichtigen Teil des Textes - sie soli ten jeweils einige neue Punkte darstellen. Besondere Bedeutung miBt das Buch der Behandlung von Gleichgewichten und Geschwindigkeiten bei, denn wir glauben, daB das Verstandnis dieser Grundlagen eine solide Basis flir schwierigere Gebiete (etwa die physikalische Chemie der Ma kromolektile) liefert.
