Treatment of the Edentulous Patient helps make possible for these special patients dentures that are without exception natural looking, comfortable, and able to minimize ridge destruction. It presents various procedures for the treatment of the edentulous patient in detail, from the most sophisticated treatment in which mucostatic metal bases are complemented by basic gnathological principles--offered as the ideal treatment--to less complicated techniques necessitated by special patient conditions. In addition to techniques for the completely edentulous patient, techniques for immediate dentures and for overdentures are covered as well. Some surgical procedures for enhancement of denture treatment results are also presented.
