Maggiori informazioni sul libro

Intelligent systems are increasingly prevalent, encompassing cognitive, evolving, artificial-life, robotic, and decision-making systems. The rapid advancements in both fundamental and technological aspects make it challenging to provide a current and comprehensive overview of this field. However, there is a significant demand for a volume that addresses recent developments and trends, particularly in industrial and academic engineering communities. While some existing works touch on similar topics, none offer thorough coverage and risk becoming outdated quickly. The editors aim to address a substantial portion of this gap, focusing on key areas such as neural networks, fuzzy systems, neuro-fuzzy systems, genetic algorithms, and evolvable hardware, along with cellular automata-based systems and various artificial life implementations, including autonomous robots. This volume is structured into four parts, each containing chapters, except for Part 4. Part 1 specifically explores "Evolvable Hardware and GAs." Chapter 1, authored by Ranga Vemuri and colleagues, discusses state-of-the-art adaptive architectures, their classification, and applications in the context of automated design synthesis and partitioning for adaptive reconfigurable hardware.
