When typological strategies do no longer succeed, it is time to carefully consider the ideas of boundaries, discontinuities and unattainability in architectural work. The projects gathered in this booklet document the discovery in passing of connections between apparent oppositions - above/below, visible/invisible, time/space, connected/unconnected, body/spirit - but above all they attest to several young architects questioning the properties of their own frame of action. The international workshop of architecture „Displacement City 2006“ has taken place from March 18th to 27th in Venice/Mestre (Italy).
