Internationally working artists were invited to reconsider one of the basic preconditions of production and representation in the visual arts: the wall. The project exceeds the standard museum presentation by using selected spots in the public space as well as certain gallery venues in the center of Belgrade. „Zidovi na ulici / Walls in the Street“, eine Kooperation des Siemens Arts Program und des MSUB - Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst, Belgrad, (Muzej savremene umetnosti, Beograd), stellt die Wand und ihre Bedeutungen in der bildenden Kunst in den Mittelpunkt des Interesses. Die Künstler Mike Bouchet, Uros Ðurić, Michael Elmgreen & Ingar Dragset, Mathilde ter Heijne, Rita McBride, Josephine Meckseper, Sarah Morris, Dušan Otašević, Neša Paripović, Dan Perjovschi, Robin Rhode, Michael Sailstorfer, Annika Ström, Milica Tomić, Lawrence Weiner, Amelie von Wulffen und Heimo Zobernig nähern sich in ihren Arbeiten der „Wand“ im konkreten und übertragenen Sinne.
