The Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt successfully hosted the “CLIL 2010 Conference: In Pursuit of Excellence,” fulfilling its promise to showcase exemplary CLIL practices and research. Special thanks are due to David Marsh and Oliver Meyer, who meticulously crafted an engaging conference program, demonstrating outstanding expertise and commitment. Their efforts marked a significant milestone in enhancing quality within European language education, particularly in CLIL development. The conference emphasized the importance of authentic learning environments, meaningful content, and challenging tasks for language learners of all ages. Marsh and Meyer are paving the way for dialogue and networking among teachers, researchers, and trainers across educational levels, ensuring that learners receive ample exposure to the English language in rich and consistent contexts. Recent research suggests that around thirty percent of a learner's waking hours exposed to a new language can lead to effective acquisition. Implementing CLIL in institutional settings like schools can meet these exposure requirements and facilitate the learning of additional languages. Neurodidactical studies indicate that bilingual education engages more language processing regions in the brain, underscoring the need for curricula developers to integrate multilingual learning. These proceedings provide a comprehensive overview of the current CLIL quality
