George Wallace, a prominent figure in the New York City poetry scene, serves as Writer in Residence at the Walt Whitman Birthplace and is the first poet laureate of Suffolk County, NY. With an impressive portfolio of 30 chapbooks, he actively engages in workshops and poetry readings worldwide. As an adjunct professor at Pace University and Westchester Community College, he also contributes as an editor for various poetry publications. His recognition includes being named laureate of the International Beat Poetry Festival in 2015.
