Byla to doba magie, zjevení a nestálé přírody, doba událostí zdánlivě nemožných paradoxů, které mohly přivést k šílenství; přání, jež se poslušně vyplňovala a přání, jež se stávala opakem; doba nočních můr, které se náhle stávaly skutečností. Byla to doba zajímavá a temná, časy Zákona Měsíce. Byly to časy, kdy Vadhaghové a Nhadraghové, věční nepřátelé, vymírali. Čas, kdy se na světě objevil Člověk, otrok strachu. Nebyl si vědom toho, že většina utrpení a bolestí, které jej obklopovaly, nebyla výsledkem ničeho jiného než toho, že sám započal svou existenci.
