Ústřední dějovou osu napínavého příběhu tvoří bj mafiánských gangů o převratný vynález spojovací techniky "Cybernet", vraždy rituálním pěstním nožem a ve finále i úsilí o získání zásadního vlivu na ekonomiku v globálním měřítku. Autor tradičně střídá lokality od Japonska a Spojených států až po tetrospektivní návraty do válečné reality Jihovýchodní Asie.
